Bid Cactus acknowledged I won the bid auction, but I never received the merchandise.

I started as a beginner and that is exactly how I ended, as a beginner. Bid Cactus allows you to win 3 auctions as a beginner, but after that they run you up and up with same bidders. Those bidders are on most of the auctions. I found this out by watching. I purchased some bids and ran out real quickly after the first beginner auctions. I never received any of my merchandise. I called so many times and talked with some of the same people at times. I was told that Amazon was out of stock, and give me a date it would arrive. I would wait for those dates, and then call back, same story about Amazon and out of stock. I asked if I could take this up personally with Amazon as it had been over 6 months by then. I was given no information to contact anyone else, except for the supervisor at Bid Cactus and I had already talked with her numerous times to no avail. I had expected these items to arrive long before Christmas and as I stated I have never received any merchandise. I quit calling after 10 months. They scam and lie to the consumer. They could have offered me my money back and I would have been happy. They had no intentions of returning any money or sending the merchandise I had won. I feel fortunate to have figured this out early in the game and invested no more than I had. I have never been to any other auction site such as this one since then. I do my bidding on eBay.

Bidcactus has changed the way they conduct business

I have been a Bidcactus customer for about two years. The products and the way the site is run has changed substantially to the point where I am considering leaving the site/no longer doing business with this company. The site used to sell gift cards that were a reasonable value/high USEFUL value (gift cards worth $50 - $200 at times for places worth using them at). I used the site for about six months back in 2012 and didn't do half bad. I left the site in December after they started having significant delays in shipping my orders. It used to be back in the beginning you would win auctions and, like clockwork, they would be shipped the following week and it would take no more than two to three weeks to receive your order in most cases. Near the end of 2012 it got to the point where I won gift cards and it would take them two to three MONTHS to make good on my purchases. After leaving the site, I returned a year later (left in December 2012 and returned almost exactly a year to the date in December 2013). The site has changed SUBSTANTIALLY. The company is selling bids left and right and gift cards worth maybe $10 - $100 TOPS which now come bundled with yet MORE bids. The price for bids has gone down with their "Free to Bid" auctions but now that they are selling nothing but bids the costs for the actual items they do sell have sky rocketed and the savings have gone down substantially. As it stands right now (January 18, 2014) I am still waiting for the delivery of items I won as far back as mid-December which is when I returned to the site (I have not received a single item since the time I returned to their site). This goes for both physical items as well as the e-mail gift cards they are now selling that state they will be delivered in five business days. I have received nothing from them at all and my order statuses for every item states that it is still pending. The only items I HAVE received are....... bids from the bid packs I purchased through their free to bid auctions as well as the bids that came bundled with the items I won. Due to the excessive amount of bids that people have, I have seen many cases where two members go at it for an extended period of time and an item ends for MORE than the item is actually worth. It is mainly a contest of "who's got the most bids" around there lately and I am not pleased. I am starting to wonder if the company is slowly going out of business. If anyone from Bidcactus reads this, please reconsider the way you are conducting business as you are starting to have some VERY unsatisfied customers and are starting to lose some long time loyal customers such as myself. As I previously communicated to your customer service division, STOP SELLING SO MANY BIDS LEFT AND RIGHT AND FOCUS ON SELLING BETTER ITEMS SUCH AS THE ONES YOU USED TO SELL A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO!

Bid Cactus Uses Craiglist to Bait Customers

I have inquired about purchasing several used iPads on Craiglist and each time I have I had to send an email, then the "seller" states that he or she has just sold the iPad but tells me where I can get one... and all the email addresses are different for the same person. Items won and not received in 6 1/2 months

This company takes your money for bids, when an item is won takes your money for shipping cost. That is as far as it goes, they do not ship you the item you have won and paid shipping cost on...Been waiting 6 1/2 months on items and gift cards won...I have been listening to "we have shipping issues" for 10 months...This is a blanket response to everyone..If you are working on shipping issues 10 months later. maybe it is time to get someone in there that knows what they are doing because no one there can hanndle it.

Bidcactus is DECEIFUL!

Bidcactus lures people using Craigslist, with fake offers to sell products: I tried to buy a refrigerator on Craigslist, the seller sent me an email and said that it was sold already, but that I can buy a similar one at a cheaper price bidcactus. I tried to register at the bidcactus site, and they asked for a credit card. I inadvertently gave my info, and when I was finished registering, I was charged right away with $79 on my credit card! They did not state that I was buying anything! I thought it was just part of the registration process to provide a credit card info! I then Google'd bidcactus and found out that they have done this regularly, use Craigslist to lure people to go and register at the bidcactus site. Bidcactus should not have any license from the govt to do business, since they are out to scam people, that's all!

Bidcactus, a total SHAM!

I should have read reviews about this site before buying any bids , but now I want to make sure to warn anybody who even thinks of participating in those "penny auctions". For the record, I have a very high speed internet with Fios, have had the service for more than 2 years , never had any problems with it "freezing:" on me. I went and bid on an iphone 5 on Saturday February 16th, 2013. I waited for the last 10 seconds to start bidding. I sat there for 3 hours bidding, NOT using the autobidder, so I was in control of the bid, not some *** autobidder. Throughout the whole bid , the screen would freeze on let's say 10 seconds, then the next thing u know, it's 3 seconds. I was determined on getting that phone simce I had already put in around $300, out of the bloom, while the bid was on 28 seconds, in a fraction of a second, it said"going" then "gone". I contacted customer service, she said :"nop, I checked it and the bid went down all the way to 0 seconds." and then she said: "you must a have had a frozen screen". Listen to that ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a fast internet, a 3 months old Acer laptop, and according to her, my screen must have frozen (which was happening frequently during the bid, around 40 times) Another thing to mention, the bidder who won the bid had put in what was worth $500!!!!!!!! plus the item's cost which was around $24 PLUS shipping and handling, I mean seriously is it worth it???????????? I watched bidder on other items, and here's the suspicious part: A BIDDER PLACED 1200 BIDS ON AN ITEM(every bid is 0.75 cents) TO GET AN IPAD 2 VALUED @ $399.ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I mean he's either a very low IQ person, or there's some foul play right there, dahhhhhhhhh! Anyways, it's a shame companies like BidCactus are licensed, and operating protected by law. Those bluffers are making tons of money out of people, totally protected by law, and in aword, SCREWING people UP! If you are not totally convinced, be my guest and try it

Scam bids

they advertise 1 penny bids, that cost you .60 CENTS EACH FOR 115 BIDS @ 1CENT =69.00------------------------- DOES ANYONE ELSE SMELL A SCAM HERE... CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT A 300.00 ITEM WOULD ACTUALLY COST ..... EVEN IF YOU BUY THE BIGGEST BID PACKAGE 340 BIDS @ .1 CENT EACH FOR = 119.00 . THAT IS .35 CENTS EACH .1 CENT BID . THAT'S 3.40 WORTH OF BIDDING POWER. HATE TO BUY A 1000.00 ITEM = 10,000 BIDS WITH 3 PEOPLE BIDDNG , EACH PERSON WOULD BID 3,333 TIMES AT .1 CENT EACH .. IT SPELLS SCAM TO ME , DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE THE PROBLEM HERE.

BidCactus.com failed to send 2 items I ordered

I ordered 2 items from the rewards store at BidCactus.com & paid the shipping. They sent me an email 8 days later saying the items were in the rewards store by mistake & they are not going to send them to me. They are not honoring the sale of items they had advertised. I have emailed them and talked to them on the phone about this but their customer service is just as rude & unconcerned about their customers as they are crooked. I will never use BidCactus.com again & I would not recommend their website to anyone. There are plenty of other penny auction sites to use. This site is the only one I've ever had any problem with.

*** Own experience ***

Bidcactus is a deadly scam which could hurt you. Numerous fake bidders keep increasing the price making you lose $.75 each time your bid loses.

You buy bids in advance, and they are gone for good if one of the fake bidders increase the price, requiring you to bid again. Spread the word.

bidcactus is a scam and new users don't win jack. I have spent 70.00 bucks and havent won jack ***! Pretty much dont pay to bid bc its rigged for u to get outbid! Ok I'll use 100 words this is a freaking scam and rip off for those who are honest and want to bid. I think they have their own bidding system that allows the bid to bid against you and you cant ever win any of the auctions!

Bidcactus Is Rip Off Anyone Can Pay The BBB And Be acreddited - Image 3
With hundreds of complaints on multiple sites http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/bidcactus-c239430.html, Bidcactus.com has to be one of the biggest and most proliferated auction scams in existence today. Upon Closer review and examination it has been determined that Bidcactus.com is indeed utilizing the 7 dollar swoopo clone script that was readily available from ebay.com. That script has, an autobidder built in to bid against flesh and blood players so anyone bidding on bidcactus.com is actually bidding against the computer. This would only make sense as there are hundreds if not thousands of complaints littered across the web attesting to this fact, from people spending hundreds of dollars and couldn't even win a curling iron to savvy bidders who quickly realized, something just wasn't right with the auctions being operated by bidcactus.com. We would warn any and all bidders to steer clear of this site and if anyone tells you that it is because of the amount of traffic to the site as to why it is difficult to win, they are just flat out lieing to you. You cant win because there is an autobidder installed in there script, it is common knowledge in the auction community and it is not disclosed anywhere on there site. Bidcactus is about as dishonest as they come and anyone who supports them is in league with them and this is a fact. We would be delighted to hear your experiences with bidcactus.com and any other auction that you may have participated in.

I too have won numerous items that I have never received. You have to tippy toe around their lies in hopes of receiving your products.

It is such a scam, I stress do NOT fall prey to the lure of easy winnings! For even if you do win, the prize may never appear!

Did not "acknowledge" final bid

I WATCHED FOR A WHILE, STUDIED BEHAVIORS OF BIDDERS AND PRICES PAID FOR ITEMS OVER 3 DAYS ON AND OFF. I GAVE IT A TRY. MY "GUESSTIMATES" WERE PROVING ACCURATE. JUST WHEN I SHOULD HAVE WON THE AUCTION OR AT LEAST MADE IT CONTINUE... MY BID ... SOMEHOW...DIDNT GET COUNTED AND THE NEXT BID WON. I CALLED AND COMPLAINED POLITELY, EXPLAINING IN DETAIL WHAT HAPPENED. THEY SAID I HADNT MADE A BID FOR OVER 40 SECONDS ! THATS ODD BECAUSE THERES A BID COUNTER RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU TO SEE YOUR BIDS BEING COUNTED AT .75 CENTS APIECE. IT COUNTED MY BIDS ! YET DID NOT ACCEPT MY LAST (WINNING) BID. COINCIDENCE ? I THINK NOT

Probably had something to do with your internet connection. Don't wait to SNIPE bidders, or you will get beat. They make programs that wait until the last second for that purpose.

Bid cactus, is a bigger scam then you think

My wife and I had an account with Bid Cactus for over 6 months, However one shipment worth $1200 in Gift cards was sent without a signature to my wife, and she never received it, so Bidcactus made an invastigation and came back saying that They shipped it, and FedEx delivered it, so i can basically go to ***, and they will not refund my wife the amount of $1200, Even though FedEx admits they left the package in the front door, IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING WHERE 20 OTHER PEOPLE ARE LIVING,WITHOUT ASKING FOR A SIGNATURE So my wife called Bid cactus and told them that she will file a claim with the CC company, because they are the only ones who can get back the money for me, Bid cactus responded to me in an Email that because someone in my household made a threat to file a charge back, and their policy is that when someone in the household does something like that they close all households accounts, Now number 1) this policy was never in the contract when we signed up on Bidcactus, They were not even acredited by the BBB when i signed up 2) In a situation like this where bid cactus refuses to pay you back money you earned fair and square does the BBB think that i have to take a loss of $1200?????? wouldn't every normal human being file a chargeback when a company refuses to refund you on something they didn't deliver you?? Anyway, this is not the main point of my claim, You can ask why do you want so strongly to have your account open?? big deal file the charge back and finish? Let me first explain how Bid cactus works Everybody needs to buy bids before starting to bid on an item, for example 100 bids will cost you $75 each bid costs you 0.75 Now bid cactus puts out a lot of products on the site, gift cards, computers, cameras, tv's and even bid packs, every items starts at 0.00 and every bid increases the item with only 0.01 but in reality it increases with 0.75 because every bid costs 0.75 Now when a $100 gift card item ends at $2.00 it basically means that BC made $150- 200x 0.75 = $150 Now they give for the winner the $100 gift card, so there profit was $50 Now of course most gift cards go for higher prices, but some cards will go much cheaper, basically 70% of the time BC makes a profit on their items, 20% they make about even, and 10% they lose money, Now WHY WOULD PEOPLE CONTINUE TO PLAY ON THIS SITE IF THEY DON'T MAKE REAL MONEY?? Here is the trick, why do i get a lot of good deals on BC, and other bidders lose big money?? When i started bidding on BC i made sure for everybody on the website that i will never give up an auction, even if a $100 gift card will cost me $1000, i don't care, After flushing in about 7-8000 dollars in the first 2 weeks other bidders started to retreat for me, because they knew they can't beat me, and slowely i started getting better and better deals, All the time, every second week a few new bidders will join bid cactus and they don't know me, so they cost me a lot of bids, EXAMPLE 10/15/2010 I won a $100 Walmart card, for $28.20, and i spent over 1200 bids to win it (1200 x 0.75 = $900) But because everybody saw how far i will go to get what i want, the next 5 $100 gift cards was won for very cheap $100 walmart card 0.03 winning bid youwill_lose $100 amazon card 0.09 winning bid youwill_lose $100 Home depot card 0.24 winning bid youwill_lose And thats why i made a nice amount on BC in the last month or so Now when BC tells me a bogus reason why they close my account, i know the real reason is because i make too much money and they were looking for a reason to throw me out of there,

BidCactus is a total scam. They take hundreds of dollars for your bids- you win the auction and nothing comes.

Attorney General gets my letter today.

Avoid like the plague. TOTAL FRAUD

Guest

I never got my iPhone, iPad, Nintendo, etc. All physical items I won, I never got. I got so many eCoupons and vouchers but I can't use them. You will get sucked into their game and they will suck thousands of dollars out of you and they don't send the won items to you.

Bidcactus is a BIG SCAM.

Guest

Yes, a lot of people won the auctions but never got the items. We made multiple calls to customer support and all they could say was that the shipment was delayed and they don't know when is the next shipment.

After 3 months, they still don't know when the shipment will be. What kind of answer is that? They collected thousands of dollars from each customers but they can't even ship out a $10 gift card from Walmart, target or Home Depot. They can easily do to those website and order the gift card to send out but they don't do that.

All we got from them so far were useless eCoupons and eVoucher.

Please do not waste your money. You will NOT get your items, especially if you win iPhones, iPad.

Guest

lol u put 1200 dollars in giftcards ???? :x

Guest

You're doing it wrong.

Guest

Yes, they are unscrupulous, and I suggest you file a class-action suit, write/call the CT Attorney General, call the media, etc. etc. etc.

There are over 1000 of these predatory sites and most use programmable non-humans to up bids, win auctions so items are not actually delivered, etc. etc. etc.

You can even check allmypennyauctions and put in some of them familiar names; sure, someone is gonna spend 160K to get 140K of stuff.... NOT

Bidcactus.com awful "customer service"

This site gave me a "declined" message when I bought bids, twice. When I checked with my bank, the charges did go through. I then contacted BidCactus.com's so-called customer service department, they told me that the charges were declined as well. I tried explaining to them (including rephrasing my issue 3 times), the representative kept telling me that I was wrong, that the transactions were 'declined', even though I could see the charges on my account online, and also had verified with my bank the charges went through. When I told her to cancel my account with them, and I didn't want to do business with a company that would talk to me like am ***, her response was, "well, that is your right." Wow! I worked in several call centers as a phone rep, supervisor, and manager ~ and if I had ever used that phrase or the tone in which she used - OR heard one of my employees doing that either, I would have and/or any employee conducting themselves in such an terrible and unproductive way would/should be reprimanded. What an awful way to treat a first time customer. Now, my bank is having to dispute the charges, and I have to wait for it to be resolved before I can have access to my money that BidCactus.com said was never charged!!! On top of it all, the rep was condescending and rude!
